Next Actions

Contact tile installer, check on slate tile for the floor and/or the countertop.
Test cutting Ikea cabinet doors and removing/replacing edge banding.
Work out best stain mix for edge banding.
Get final measurements for all cab doors and order doors from Ikea and hinges from Rockler.

Design Considerations

Tile over the existing tile walls, add wooden lip at the top, stained to match the cabinets.
Move Wall and Floor Cabinets next to the oven over next to the full run of the cabinets.
Counter Height bar in the window corner or set of window seats made from Ikea refrigerator cabinets?
Need to find an acceptable new ceiling fan.

Electrical

Under cabinet lighting with its own dimmer or stepped switch.
Electric Oven connection needs to be added on the north wall.
Replace ceiling fixture in window corner.
